Child Development Coaching
Esporte’s mission is to provide the best level of physical and mental fitness services to the UK to create a fitter, healthier, and more active future for everybody.
Sports alone is neither beneficial nor detrimental
We promote positive participation and both passive and active development for children. The act of carrying out a sport is merely a physical exercise, whereas we actively promote the learning and developmental capabilities afforded through participation in sports – becoming an exercise not only of the body, but also the mind. It is not the act of a child participating that governs our success, but rather the quality of the experience and the underpinning desire to improve lives through development.
How we will achieve our mission
We bring together professional experience from specialists in sports, medical, and nutritional fields to create a rounded syllabus for our coaches to pass on to our participants. In doing this, we’re able to create great services that promote fun, fitness, and healthy living all at the same time.
Esporte’s Child Development Services
Receiving positive support from family, peers and teachers influences a child’s development. By participating in sports, children learn valuable lessons about how adult life operates; people practice in order to improve skills, demonstrate self-control to complete a task within the ‘laws of the game’, and learn to traverse a range of social situations to develop their ability to communicate with others. The role of a coach is often to be the person that facilitates this learning experience.
We prefer to identify our coaches as Development Coaches – regardless of their sport or discipline, a Development Coach enables the child to explore their sport and their creativity.
- A ‘football coach’ coaches football
- A ‘netball coach’ coaches netball
- A ‘tennis coach’ coaches tennis
- A Development Coach teaches you how to be a more confident and effective person, with higher self-esteem, self-belief, and desire. It just so happens that we use sports as a way of delivering it

These skills are often used in adult life, so by creating a neural framework at a young age, we enable the children to develop true life skills, whilst making their childhood more inclusive, more interesting, and more fun!
There are no boring lectures and no formal educational work, so children are able to learn about their physical, mental, and social wellbeing whilst having fun.
Esporte is also partnered with the NHS Change4Life programme, which means that we share the goals and responsibilities of the NHS: To actively and responsibly promote healthy living through physical activity with a view to reduce obesity in the UK and promote the importance of fitness in everyday life. NHS figures show that 9 out of 10 children today could grow up with dangerous amounts of fat in their bodies, fueling diseases like cancer, type 2 diabetes and heart disease. We’re determined to put a stop to that, and pride ourselves in being a pioneering force in our field.
